OUCH. MY. BACK. HURTSSS!

I need to keep a better posture while working with the tablet pad. D:

ANYWAY, this is Eve Kagami a Fallen angel/half-angel, half-demon created by :iconjen93: aaand I made her this... very simple outfit for her contest.

Yeah. Hope you like it, Jen. XD

P.S Ler me know if you want to know what the circly thing behind her says and I'll post it up.

I tried the black and white to color technique, how did it work out? Are colors good?
Is the background ok? I rarely do them because I find them hard to make.

Any feedback at all is very appreciated. .-.

Thank you! That soothes my worries, because this drawing broke my back and that makes it worth it. :P (Didn't break it literaly, but you know 8D)

Ugh, it's VERY cheesy, and I didn't really think through, I just wrote it. :P
Here it is; Fallen angel of the depths, pure as the harsh light from a lightning, falling in love with the demon.

Yeah.

Thanks!

Neither am I. ._. And since I rarely think it through, it usually ends up very, very cheesy. XD

I love the coloring - the starkness of the light and shadow really contributes to the 'opposites rolled into one' feel that the background gives. The markings along the edges of her outfit are just a little hard to see, especially in the bright areas, and it hurts my eyes a little to look at them - it's a shame, because they're so pretty. My instinct would be to use a shade that contrasts with the base color a little more. Her neck looks a bit odd - kind of disjointed, if you understand; I find spine lines help with that. The bottom part of her hair also looks a little stiff, and a few more curves in the outlines will help that. (If stiff was your intent, please disregard.) I really like the shading and highlighting in her hair, it defines it really nicely, and I'm impressed with the bold foreshortening of her legs! I like the background a lot, the glowing red/duller gray feathers really add to the feel of the whole piece. Very nice. ^^

The shading and light effects are awesome=)
Also the structure of her clothers. It gives them a realistic touch.
My favorite are the red shining feathers:D They look really good and shiny=)

I guess her wings are burned, right?
I think you should put some lighting and shading in this part. At the moment, they look just like black feathers. Hope you know what i mean=)

That is really an awesome coloring job. I like the background because it definitely helps portray the half-and-half concept. By the way, exactly what is the black-and-white to color method? It seems to have worked really well for you and I'm a bit curious about it.
:iconbrkproductions:
Thank you very much. :) I was hoping to get a good backgound together for strenghtening the point of her expression etc.
Ah, you see, it's simple as you adding the shadows and highlights in simply grayscale, and add the colors later. :icongenzoman: has a tutorial for this, if you search in his gallery. :) I'll definatley use this technique again, it was really fun.

Thanks. :D  Ohhh, you like 'em? I had some trouble making them actually show, so I put the shine on and it looked well, so I kept it XD

Hmm, well you see, the character is, as mentioned, half-angel, half-demon, so I was trying to portray how the wings get "infected" and start turning from anglic white, to demonic black. If that makes any sense. XD
